The 3M SignGrant Program begins January 5, 2009 and will run through November 30, 2009. Government agencies are able to apply for onetime grants to receive significantcost savings to upgrade road signs to meet and exceed the FHWA Minimum Levels ofRetroreflectivity. Finalized in January 2008, the FHWA standards require stateand local agencies to assess their road signs and develop a replacement plan fornon-compliant signs within four years.
